While this 1898 house had plenty of historic charm and intricate detailing, much of it's interior needed to be brought up to date in function and aesthetic.  Removing a flight of servant stairs and adding a side entrance allowed for a more fluid circulation for daily use, while maintaining the elegance of the dining and living rooms where much of the entertaining of house guests and greeting of business clientele transpired.  The juxtaposition of old and new can be seen throughout.
